Happy Monday everyone! I hope you all had a great weekend. On Saturday we attended a very cool “Spy 006″ themed birthday party for the son of some friends (who turned 6–get it?) Everyone had a blast. You know the sign of a good party is when none of the guests will leave!
Coming from GirlWorld, it was so fun to see some very creative ideas for a boy’s birthday party & I asked my friend Bonnie if she would mind me some taking pictures to share with all of you. Come back tomorrow to check it out!
As far as shopping goes, I wasn’t overly excited about any of the deals at CVS or Walgreens this week, but I did make quite a haul over at Staples. There are only few weeks left of the great school supply deals and (practically) free printer paper, so I figure I better take advantage of it while I can. And as if the deals weren’t good enough, I was able to snag a $10 off $50 coupon from Recyclebank, which made everything practically free after rebate. Like I always say, what’s better than free?
Here is what I got:
At Staples I spent $0.66 (after rebates) for $84.73 worth of office supplies, a savings of 99.3%
$10/$50 Purchase Recyclebank Coupon $2.75 EasyRebate WYB Bic Mark-It Permanant Markers – $3.00 (bought 1) Final price: $0.25 after Easy Rebate Limit 1 $2.74 EasyRebate WYB Pentel Wow! Sparkle Gel Pens – $2.99 (bought 1) Final price: $0.25 after Easy Rebate Limit 1 $14.49 EasyRebate WYB Staples Photo Supreme Paper – $14.99 (bought 2) Final price: $0.50 after Easy Rebate Limit 2 $3.99 EasyRebate WYB Staples MultiPurpose Paper – $5.99 (bought 2) Final price: $2.00 after Easy Rebate Limit 2 $30.00 Mail-in-Rebate WYB McAfee Antivirus Plus 2011 for PC- $29.99 (bought 1) Final price: FREE after MIR Limit 1* * *
And in case you are still skeptical about how quickly these Easy Rebates arrive, I am happy to report that I have already received my first check back from only a few weeks ago!
P.S. If you missed it over the weekend, be sure to enter to win $40 of handcrafted hair accessories from Audry & Ulric–the felt flowers are so cute! I will pick a winner on Friday.

Hello from Ireland! Just wanted to pop in and say I admire how you manage your shopping. Coupons are few and far between here (grr!) or I’d totally be straight on that bandwagon…!

So coupons and gift cards don’t effect the rebates? Wow, great job!

I looked in the add for staples and only found these:
$14.49 EasyRebate WYB Staples Photo Supreme Paper – $14.99 (bought 2)
Final price: $0.50 after Easy Rebate
Limit 2
$3.99 EasyRebate WYB Staples MultiPurpose Paper – $5.99 (bought 2)
Final price: $2.00 after Easy Rebate
Limit 2
$30.00 Mail-in-Rebate WYB McAfee Antivirus Plus 2011 for PC- $29.99 (bought 1)

Where did you find the MIR for the pens, I do not even show those in the ad?
Thank you

Amanda-
What it means is that the sales will vary somewhat from store to store. These were the specials at my store.
For some weird reason Staples decided to make their ads vary by region this year. It is very frustrating.

Thank you. I am now seeing that in this coming week, the staples add in the central florida has the 2 kind of pens with the easy rebate.

I am new to all of this, and was wondering what I need to know as far as rebates go.
Is there “fine print” that I might need to know about?
What is an EASY rebate?
Thanks!
