Do you ever feel like you are drowning in stuff?
I spent most of the day yesterday cleaning out my bedroom closet, dressers, & desk. I filled several bags with items for Goodwill and another bag with trash, and I came to the stark realization that I have far too many things.
Life has been a little hectic lately and I feel like I have lost some all control over all the unseen nooks and crannies in my house. On the surface things are calm, but the chaos is lurking behind every door or drawer. I am on a mission this fall to get some order back!
But even with all the excess stuff there are still a few items we can’t seem to live without. I made a quick trip to CVS just to grab some diapers–love those Huggies Slip Ons–and bleach. My OOP cost was definitely a little higher than usual, but considering I got 3 packs of diapers, I’m not complaining.
Here is what I got:
At CVS I spent $17.92 for $70.01 worth of drugstore goods, a savings of 74%

Ruth, I have to agree. I always feel as if I’m behind. I work full time, have 3 boys and take online graduate courses. I always am pushing something off! Usually it’s house work. But I am determined and inspired by you and Merissa at http://www.littlehouseliving.com to get myself organized and stockpiled! Yesterday I put pkgs of cooked up ground beef in the freezer for easy use, chicken is next (doing that tonight), even made 3 batches of homemade spaghetti sauce last night for the freezer! i’m trying hard to use the time I can to accomplish things.. and even tho you may not realize it you really do inspire me!

Well I’m glad to hear I’m not the only one who feels like they’re coming apart sometimes.
I forwarded your sweet comment to Merissa–she’s actually a friend of mine!

Agreed – always an inspiration, thanks Ruth! I soooo need to de-clutter and simplify as well.
But might have to start tomorrow. Zzzzzz.

I SO feel that way! It has gotten so frustrating, and yet…when I do take the time to declutter…I have a really hard time b/c I can’t decide what to do with certain things! lol You never know…I *might* need it someday! lol Thanks for the inspiration to get back at it!
