extreme couponing shopping results

Happy Monday!

I hope you all had a great weekend.  Here in Florida the weather finally cooled off just a little & now it actually feels like fall.  Well, at least to us. (Yes, 75 degrees is a “cool” day here!)

We celebrated by turning off the A/C for the first time in about 8 months, opening up all the doors and windows, and  putting up some Halloween decorations, which thrilled Princess to no end.  She is a BIG fan of Halloween, and has literally been talking about her costume for months now.  (After shopping around and comparing prices, I decided it will be cheaper to make it myself.  I’ll keep you posted on how that goes!)

As far as shopping, I made just one very tiny trip to CVS.

Here is what I got:

At CVS I spent $4.69 for $26.01 worth of merchandise, a savings of 82%.

I know ur a publix shopper…I just heard from some one else (and confrimed it online) that publix is recalling their spinach dip. So if you have it I would look into it. Wouldn’t want anything to happen to u, princess, or trouble! :)

Had my best CVS haul in a while yesterday. The stars, moon, and sun all aligned and my husband came with & carried the bags home :) I had $7 ECB to start ($4 from Schick razor, $1 GBT, $2 for taking the pledge online) and got $1 ECB at the store for my summer quarterly spending. I also got a $.50 off M&Ms coupon from the magic coupon machine, and a $4/$20 email coupon. Phew!
    5 bags Harvest M&Ms – $2.50 each. Used (2) $1.50/2 IPs + $.50/1 CVS Q
1 Skintimate Shave Gel – $1.99. Used $1 CVS printable (I had just run out that morning!)
1 Skippy PB – $1.67 (gold in our house)
    1 Diet Dr. Pepper 2L – $.88
2 Doritos marked down to $.39 each!
    1 Newspaper – $2.25

    Minus $16.50 in coupons/ECBs = $3.77 OOP after tax + $5 ECB back!

    Ruth,
i saw that last week you bought a butternut squash–YUM! your family may have gobbled it up by now, but just in case you haven’t used it yet, i have an EASY and DELISH weight watcher recipe!

    Butternut Squash Fries
    -slice whole squash into fries
-toss with a small amount of salt and chili pepper (approx 1 tsp each)
-lay out on cookie sheet and spray with olive oil cooking spray (until fries are coated)
-cook on 450 for 30min or until crispy!
(some people need to cook them for much longer because it may take awhile for them to crisp up)
-flip fries half way through cooking to allow even cooking

makes 4 servings at 1pp per serving
