Thrifty Thursday {Week 64}

Thrifty Thursday Square

Happy Thursday!  I hope you are all having a fantastic week!  If your kids are anything like mine they are having a blast being able to PLAY together all day long.  I think sometimes I forget how much kids just need time to just be kids without all the structure or pressure of organized activities.  So far they have had fun swimming, playing school, swimming, building forts, swimming, blowing giant bubbles, and, well, more swimming!  This week I’d love to see what fun and simple activities your family has been enjoying this summer, as well as more ideas for light and fresh summer recipes!

    Thank you for featuring my grocery budget tips, Ruth!

    My kids just want to play, too. Last summer, they kept asking to just stay home and play with their friends. We have a nice group in the neighborhood with a small range of ages. It’s just like my neighborhood when I was growing up.

  8. We haven’t started our summer yet. We had a rough winter with a death in the family, so our homeschooling took a back seat. Now we need to catch up a bit and will school through the end of June…then I’m hoping to do exactly what your kids are doing. Sounds wonderful!
    Thanks so much for hosting.

    Getting ready for school in the mornings in mid-June has been a joke! Yesterday, one took off through the field chasing squirrels rather than fixing his hair and all that boring stuff! The pool is finally open here thanks to a ton of drilling, sanding, patching, scrubbing, priming, staining, and painting!
