Fresh Lemon & Sage Pasta ingredients.

Here is what you need:

2 tablespoons olive oil
6 tablespoons butter
1 bag matchstick carrots
6-8 green onions
1 head broccoli
1 bunch fresh sage, stems removed
1  12oz. box  bow tie pasta
1 lemon, juiced
1/2 teaspoon salt
1/4 teaspoon pepper
1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese

Chop green onion and sage; set aside with broccoli and carrots.

Step 1: Chop green onions, sage and broccoli into small bite size pieces and set aside.  Bring water to a boil in large pot.

Cook veggie over medium heat with olive oil and butter for about 12-13 minutes.

Step 2: Melt 4 tablespoons butter with olive oil in a large frying pan over medium heat.  Add carrots and broccoli; cook until slightly soft, about 5-6 minutes.  Add green onions and sage, stirring until lightly brown, approximately 7-8 minutes longer.

Cook the box of pasta according to directions.

Step 3: Cook pasta according to directions.

Combine juice of one lemon, butter, salt, and pepper together.

Step 4:  Cut lemon in half; squeeze juice into melted butter, then add salt and pepper; set aside.

Combine veggies with pasta. Dress with shredded parmesan cheese and lemon dressing.

Step 5: Drain pasta and return to pot.  Mix in vegetables, then toss well with lemon butter mixture.  Mix in Parmesan cheese; serve immediately and enjoy.

I made this tonight, and it was phenomenal! I didn’t have any sage, so I just tried dried basil and italian seasoning instead. It’s definitely a crowd pleaser. Thank you so much for this great recipe!
