Creamy Hot Crab Dip Recipe

Creamy and delicious, this yummy hot crab dip uses imitation crab alongside real canned crab to keep the costs down but the flavor up.

Stock up when you see a sale because it is sure to be the hit of your next party! This recipe makes enough to fill the bowl of your 2.5-quart crockpot which will serve a lot of people. To make it for a smaller crowd, simply cut the quantities in half.

Creamy Hot Crab Dip Recipe

Here is what you need:

3 8 oz. packages cream cheese
2 cans chopped green chiles
¾ cup salsa
½ cup milk
2 bunches green onions
2 8 oz. packages imitation crab
2 cans white crab meat, drained
1 cup shredded Parmesan cheese

Step 1:  Add cream cheese, salsa, milk and green chiles to mixing bowl. Mix on low until blended, about 30-45 seconds.

Step 2:  Thinly slice green onion; add to cream cheese mixture.

Step 3:  Flake crab meat into small pieces; add along with real crab meat to cream cheese mixture.

Step 4:  Add Parmesan cheese to cream cheese mixture. Mix on low speed until blended, about 20-30 seconds.

Step 5: Transfer mixture to crock pot. Cover and cook on low for 4 hours, stirring once or twice, then keep warm. Serve with crackers or sliced baguette.
