It literally comes together in minutes, then roasts to perfection in your slow cooker–no need to even turn on the oven! And better yet, it’s a super budget-friendly way to wow your guests–or your family–with a dinner that is sure to please even the pickiest of eaters.

Gather your ingredients: Parsley, shallot, lemon, butter, whole chicken, Grill Mates Chipotle & Roasted Garlic seasoning, and celery.

Here is what you need:

1 bunch of fresh parsley
1 small shallot
1 lemon
3 Tablespoons butter
1 whole chicken (4-5 lbs)
3 Tablespoons Grill Mates Chipotle & Roasted Garlic seasoning
3-4 ribs of celery
 

Chop half the parsley and shallot and set aside.

Step 1: Chop half the parsley and shallot and set aside.

n a measuring cup add the butter, chopped parsley and chopped shallot and mix well.

Step 2: In a measuring cup add the butter, chopped parsley and chopped shallot and mix well.

Squeeze the juice of half a lemon and set aside near whole chicken in bowl.

Step 3: Then cut the lemon in half and juice. Save lemon halves and clean chicken, remove giblets and set aside.

Wash celery and place in slow cooker.

Step 5: Wash celery then chop in half and place in bottom of crock pot.

Stuff chicken with cutter mixture and set on top of celery.

Step 6: Place chicken on top of celery, breast side up, lift up the skin on breast and add the parsley, shallot and butter mixture.

Add lemon juice and parsley to cavity of chicken.

Step 7: Then add lemon juice, parsley sprigs and lemon halves to cavity of chicken.

Sprinkle seasoning to top of chicken.

Step 8: Then sprinkle season salt to top of chicken breast.

Add water to the slow cooker.

Step 9: Add a half cup of water to bottom of crock pot and cook on low for 6-7 hours.

Serve finished chicken with a salad, sweet potato, and a glass of wine then enjoy.

Step 10: Serve with your favorite sides and enjoy.
