Weekend Wandering at LWSL

Happy Sunday….and happy September! I don’t know about you but the transition into September always has me feeling nostalgic for cooler weather and the change in seasons that doesn’t actually exist here in Florida. So despite the fact that it is still 90+ degrees (and I am spending the weekend at the beach) I’m dreaming of hearty crock pot meals and soul-warming soups, of pumpkin desserts and wearing sweaters and boots. Sigh.

In any case, there were 200 awesome posts linked up this week at Thrifty Thursday this week! Be sure to check out the rest, but here is what I really loved this week….

First of all, this Crock Pot Chicken Korma from MommiFried looked absolutely incredible! I am such a sucker for a good Indian dish! I might have to try recreating a vegetarian version.

Next this Chicken Kale Soup from A Pinch of Glitter looks pretty delicious too! I love kale!

And while we’re drooling over chicken soup recipes, I couldn’t not include this Chicken Pot Pie Soup from Life{in}Grace. Edie is a self-proclaimed Soup Whisperer and I have to admit, this looks amazing. And I don’t even eat chicken.

Of course we all know that the best thing about fall is excuse to eat pumpkin-flavored desserts and call them healthy. Hey, pumpkin is a vegetable! Case in point:  These mouth-watering little Pumpkin Butterscotch Truffles from A Little Claireification. Oh My.

I loved this Ballard Designs Wine Barrel Tray Knock-Off from My Sweet Savannah. Can’t believe she managed to put it together for only $1!

I loved the simplicity of this pretty Dried Stick Wreath from Simple Joys. Easy & cheap–definitely my kind of project!

Finally, I love love LOVED this story from Lemon Grove Avenue of how they figured out to save a whopping $60,000 on their home loan. Great practical advice in an easy-to-read package. A must read!
