Weekend Wandering

It has been an intense week and I am definitely ready for a day of rest. Thank you so much to everyone who linked up at Thrifty Thursday this week. If you haven’t had a chance, be sure to check out all of the fabulous recipes, projects, & tips on this week’s Thrifty Thursday post. Here were (just a few of) the things I loved.

This Orange Soft Scrub FAIL from Ang Says made me laugh. I could definitely relate!

I also loved these Five Tips for New Mystery Shoppers from Moms are Frugal. She gives some great advice if you’ve ever considered earning a little extra pocket money as a mystery shopper.

This Gluten Free Banana Pudding from A Seasoned Homemaker sounded heavenly!

My daughter loved this American Girl Sleeping Bag DIY from The Real Thing with the Coake Family. Another AG project to add to the list!

Loved this idea for DIY Dyed Jeans from Everyday Originals. Might just have to try this!

I’m also dying to try this DIY Edible “Mud” Mask from Essentially Eclectic.

These Salted Caramel Twix Bars from Life a Little Brighter look soooooo good. Salty and sweet? Yes please!

And speaking of YUM, this  Summer Strawberry Salad from Blonde Kitchen looked pretty delicious too.

Loved these tips for how to Clean & Organize your Refrigerator from Maison 1912.

This Mexican Lasagna from Stoic Design sounds awesome!

I’m pretty sure my girls would go crazy for this Homemade Fruit Leather from Busy Mom’s Helper

  • OH. MY. GOODNESS. I can not wait to make those Twix bars!!! I saw the pictured and almost didn't click on the link b/c I assumed there was peanut butter in the recipe.....I am so happy I checked it out anyway! Yummy!!

  • Thanks for the mention! Loving reading you blog, especially about taking the toys away. I've tried it, but always gave the stuff back, even if they didn't ask for it! I think next time (soon, judging by the mess) I'll be much more picky about what stays, or goes away permanently. Thanks!

Ruth, Thanks so much for featuring the AG sleeping bag I made my girls. I hope if you make them for your girls, they have hours of fun with them!
Hope you got the restful weekend you needed.
    Take care,
    KC

  • Thanks for featuring my Gluten-Free Banana Pudding :)
