Creamy Hot Crab Dip

Uses both real & imitation crab to keep the costs down but the flavor up!  This recipe makes a huge batch, so be sure to cut the ingredients in half if you are making it for a smaller crowd.

Ingredients

  • 3 8 oz. packages cream cheese
  • 2 cans chopped green chiles
  • ¾ cup salsa
  • ½ cup milk
  • 2 bunches green onions
  • 2 8 oz. packages imitation crab
  • 2 cans white crab meat drained
  • 1 cup shredded parmesan cheese

Instructions

  1. Add cream cheese, salsa, milk and green chiles to mixing bowl. Mix on low until blended, about 30-45 seconds.

  2. Thinly slice green onion; add to cream cheese mixture.
  3. Flake crab meat into small pieces; add along with real crab meat to cream cheese mixture.
  4. Add Parmesan cheese to cream cheese mixture. Mix on low speed until blended, about 20-30 seconds.

  5. Transfer mixture to crock pot. Cover and cook on low for 4 hours, stirring once or twice, then keep warm. Serve with crackers or sliced baguette.
