Semi-Homemade Holiday Cookies

Need festive treats fast? These semi-homemade holiday cookies can be made in under an hour and make for a fun activity the whole family will enjoy!

With the holiday hustle and bustle in full swing. Baking cookies might be the last thing you feel like you have time for. But these semi-homemade sugar cookies can be made in just an hour.

My favorite part is that they can even become a family activity to decorate. You can choose the decoration options and let the kids decorate them any way they please using different colored frosting and decorative sugars. Or simply decorate them based on what your family loves.

Semi-Homemade Holiday Cookies

For this recipe, I went with a snowflake design and used blue sugar to highlight my design. The girls loved them because they reminded them of the movie Frozen!

Here is what you need:

1 package Pillsbury™ Sugar Refrigerated Cookies

Frosting
1 bag white chocolate chips
colored sugars
food coloring

Step 1: Preheat oven to 350 degrees; cut cookie dough into 1/2 slices and place on baking sheet lined with parchment paper.

Step 2: Bake for 8-10 minutes or according to package. Once lightly brown, remove cookies from oven and cool completely.

Step 3: Melt 1/2 the white chocolate chips in the microwave. Add desired color to melted chocolate. Use melted chocolate to frost cookies. Start in the center and work your way to the edges.

Step 4: Let dry 5-10 minutes, then pipe design and add colored sugar. Let dry completely before or if short on time place cookies in the freezer to set the chocolate. Then wrap up as the perfect holiday sweet treat!
